This step by step guide explains how to nominate on Kusama using Polkadot JS and Polkadot JS Extension.

Before we start, you will need the following:
•    Chrome or Brave browser.
•    A Kusama address with some available KSM tokens. This will be your stash account
•    The address mnemonic seed phrase.

1. Install Polkadot JS Extension in your browser

Click the following in your browser and install it.

2. Import your Kusama Wallet address in Polkadot JS Extension.

• Open Polkadot JS Extension. Click the orange found on top-right of your browser.
• Click the icon
• Click on “Import account from pre-existing seed“.
• Enter your mnemonic seed phrase.
• Under Network, select Kusama Relay Chain.
• Click Next
• Add a descriptive name for your account.
• Enter a password for the account and click next.
• Click on “Add the account with the supplied seed“.

3. Create a new Controller account

• Click the orange on your browser.
• Click the icon
• Click “Create new account“.
• Click Copy to clipboard to copy your wallet mnemonic seed and save it on a file.
• Check “I have saved my mnemonic seed safely”
• Click “Next step”
• On the Network drop-down, select “Kusama Relay Chain“
• Add a descriptive name for your account.
• Enter a password for the account.
• Click on “Add the account with the generated seed“.

4. Open Polkadot JS 

Open https://polkadot.js.org/apps/#/accounts in your browser and allow access to the extension. If it is already open before you created your accounts, reload the tab.

5. Connect to Kusama network

Make sure you are on the Kusama network by clicking the network symbol on the top-left corner of you screen.

6. Nominate a Validator 

• On the top menu, click “Network”
• Click on “Staking“.
• Click on “Account Actions” tab.
• Click on “+ Nominator” button.
• Select your imported account as Stash
• Select your Controller account.
• Enter the amount you want to bond
• Choose a destination account for your rewards under “payment destination”.
• Click next.

• Enter E4Y.IO in the search field to look for our nodes
• Click on “E4Y.IO/E4Y-01” to add to Nominated accounts.
• Click on “E4Y.IO/E4Y-02″ to add again to Nominated accounts.
• Click on “Bond & Nominate” button.
• Click “Sign and Submit and enter your password to authorize the transaction.

7. Wait for your nomination to be active
